For a while now, our app has included leaderboards so that everyone can be inspired by the global Litterati community. We can all see that there are some people who are able to dedicate a lot of time and energy to their community's litter problem. What about the people who record a bit of litter for a few minutes on their way to work or school or while running errands?

Recently, we released two new features in the Impact tab that allow you to track your weekly activity on a rolling basis. These features also help new users see what sustainable litter engagement activity might be expected.

Big litter numbers are fantastic and some people can do that amazing level of effort every day. Most people have a different activity pattern and we want everyone to find an inspiring way to consistently engage with the app.

The first feature is an indicator that shows which days you have uploaded images in the past week. Each day that you are active turns blue and the 7-days shown change on a rolling basis.

The second feature is a status bar that shows you the number of images uploaded in a week by a typical user (19). When you upload images, the status bar turns green and when you reach the target number, the status bar turns blue. New and veteran community members who asked for a better way to understand the average amount of activity in the app may find this feature very helpful.

The leaderboard is a great feature for people who spend an above-average amount of time with the app. The weekly activity indicator is meant to be a great feature for people who spend an average amount of time with the app.

This is just the beginning. In the next year or two, we will be introducing more features that build on this work.

We see a day in the future that the app will be able to show you more information about your impact on your community and allow you to track your activity. Please be patient as we prioritize bug fixes and work to deploy new features.

We love to hear about your thoughts and reactions to new features like this. Write to us at support@litterati.org with any questions, comments, or concerns.
