In the Litterati App, all users can create a local or connected challenge.

TL:DR- here's a shortcut to the specific instructions:

What are the differences between these challenges?

A local challenge is free for all users to use and is defined by a radius of up to 310 miles or 500km. Free users are only able to create one challenge at a time.

A connected challenge is also free for all users to use and has all of the same parameters as a local challenge. However, this type of challenge can feed into one of our partner's public featured challenges. This is a great way to share your community data with another partner of your choosing.

A featured challenge is only available for our Impact partners and can only be created in the Partner Dashboard. These challenges have no radius boundaries, can have connected challenges linked to them, and can send in-app notifications to all participants. To learn more about becoming an Impact partner please visit here: Become A Partner.

Please note the following:

  • You can edit your challenge after you create it. However, once the challenge starts you will not be able to change any settings. Please reach out to your Client Success Manager or support@litterati.org to edit any challenge settings.

  • Free users can only create one challenge at a time.
